The Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum offers discounts and optional guided tours to groups of 10 or more.
To be eligible for a group discount you must meet the following criteria:
•Have a group of at least ten (10) or more persons
•Have a group leader who serves as the museum contact and will be present at the tour.
•Groups must provide two (2) adult chaperon per every ten (10) children under 16 years old
•For add-ons, tours must be booked a month in advance

Spirit masks are common among the Pacific Islands ethnic arts. Masks are portraits of spirit beings, departed ancestors and invisible powers.
Jewelry making K-12 additional $3 (all materials included)
Pacific Islanders have worn jewelry since ancient times. Ornamentation was made from shells, natural fibers, bone, and believed to be indications of status and wealth.
Additional activities can be accommodate depending on your curriculum needs with advance planning
Booking Information
To schedule a tour please fill out our Online Registration form. Two weeks advance reservation required. You will receive an e-mail message to confirm your group tour. Due to cultural influences please be aware there are some nude sculptures.
Sending your Payment
Make a payment with a non-refundable check postmarked within two weeks of the date of booking for tours only. If you are adding on an art activity one month is required. Please make checks payable to the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum.
Your reservation will be confirmed only once payment and online registration forms are both received and confirmed by our Tours Office. You will receive an e-mail confirmation message once your fieldtrip is confirmed.

Planning your Museum Visit
Two (2) chaperone for every ten (10) students is required and must stay with your student group throughout the entire tour. Students must wear large name tags. No cell phones, backpacks, cameras, food or beverages are allowed in the museum. Remind your students not to touch artwork or lean on display cases.

Field trip lunch rates are available at our Viva Café. Due to limited space, you must call in advance if you want your students to purchase food at our café. For lunch reservations and group rates, call 562.590.9034. A lunch area is available in the back of the museum for groups of thirty (30) or less; book this space when booking your tour.
